Vanetta Irene Matthews, 78, died May 8, 2012 at Prairie Sunset Home, Pretty Prairie. She was born Oct. 19, 1933, at Kingman, the daughter of Ethan and Mary Dinger Gracey.

A lifetime resident of the Kingman community, she was a self-employed Avon representative.

She was a member of the Kingman Christian Church.

On Nov. 27, 1952, she married Doyle Matthews at Kingman. Other survivors include daughters Donetta Raymond, Cheney, and Monica Roe, Kingman; sister Juanita Warner, West Peublo, CO; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Robin Walter in 1980.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday at Livingston Funeral Home Kingman. Friends may call from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the family present from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made with the Mary Robin Walter Nursing Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
